Peace in Christ will be operating the Walkersville Community Thrift Shop! The shop is located at the intersection of Pennsylvania Ave and Fulton Streets in Walkersville in the basement of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall. The non-profit thrift shop is part of Glade Valley Community Services, and is run by area churches that volunteer for a month of service annually. The work is easy and fun - sorting clothing donations and making sales. Bring family or friends - it's a great fellowship opportunity – a great volunteer opportunity for kids! A sign-up sheet is located on the bulletin board in the hallway. Clothing donations (spring and summer) are also needed and are tax deductible. This is a great opportunity to directly help our local Walkersville community. Please see Arlinda Sothoron for details. Thank you!

Can you spare 2-3 hours to volunteer per week or within a month? An occasional errand around town would make life much easier for members. Our mission is to "Empower older adults to live independently in their homes".
Volunteers provide free rides for grocery shopping, medical appointments and other helpful errands.
To volunteer, please call Shannon 301-682-7433 or e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
